Hiring Veterans Presentation

I recently had the opportunity to present to fellow West Point graduates on the topic of hiring veterans. I used this presentation to help the audience understand:

• Why it is important to hire veterans
• Why there is a significant challenge in doing so successfully (the civil-military divide)
• How stereotypes oftentimes get in the way
• How to debunk those stereotypes
• Best practices in emplacing a veteran hiring program
• Available resources to support such efforts
