Prioritization Matrices
You will note three tabs on the downloadable template. All have similar functionality for different uses.
"Career Field Choices" tab
Use this tab to help narrow your potential career field choices.
- List the criteria by which you will judge each career field in Column A, ranking the criteria on a 1-5 scale (1-less important, 5-most important) in Column B.
- List the career fields you are considering in Row 2 and score them using the following scale (1-not a good fit, 3-good fit, 9-best fit)
- The highest score indicates which career field you might prioritize. The cross-multiplication will produce an emotionless outcome.
"Employer Choices" tab
Use this tab to help narrow your potential employers or roles.
- List the criteria by which you will judge each employer or role in Column A, ranking the criteria on a 1-5 scale (1-less important, 5-most important) in Column B.
- List the employers or roles you are considering in Row 2 and score them using the following scale (1-not a good fit, 3-good fit, 9-best fit)
- The highest score indicates which employer or role you might prioritize. The cross-multiplication will produce an emotionless outcome.
"Generic Prioritization Matrix" tab
In a similar manner, use this tab for any other decisions you may be considering to help narrow your choices.
