Wardrobe “Basic Load”

Veterans: Do you have a closet full of military garb that you may not need any more? Might you be wondering what you should replace it with? What kind of professional dress do you need to wear in order to shine in your interviews?

Among the many resources on my website, I’ve accumulated a Wardrobe “Basic Load” that will help answer these questions and augments the content of Mission Transition. This guidance will work in almost every professional environment. But I would add that you need to be knowledgeable enough about the organization with which you are interviewing to flex your dress appropriately. For example, high tech companies tend to dress less formally; and showing up in a suit may send a signal that you can’t fit in. As always, leverage your network to get clarity on the precise dress requirements of the organization with which you are interviewing. Good luck!
